I have really enjoyed Twitter!  But it is also important to know how to work it...for example, don't always tweet about business.  Make sure you mix personal - or general, I should say! - tweets in as well so others can get to know you as a person!

I can't attest to actual sales (yet) because of Twitter, but I have increased marketing opportunities with this simple, free networking tool!

And, yes, it can be addicting...and did I mention fun!  Give it a try!

I like twitter and limit my time on there to a little bit in the later morning/afternoon hours and then again for a little bit in the evenings. I have gotten business from twitter although I get more business by networking on forums.

Hi Ladies, I joined Twitter back in December 08, actually forgot about it, than middle of May I get this email telling me I have a follower, etc So confused I click the link. Der, I felt so stupid, because I had just plum forgot.

After constantly hearing about this big follow thing on tv, b/ Ashton & Larry I thought, "hmm there has to be something to this so why not go look at it again." So I did. I began to actively tweet around 5/19, took me a few hours to go thru all the guidelines, rules, lingo, but once I got the idea down I was off.

Yes I do agree that it is good to mix it up, but for me, my primary focus is to share resources I have found thru my 7 yrs online/14 yrs offline researching and hopefully build a new following aside from Ryze (I have been there 5+yrs). I post/retweet on Business (all areas) & Family/Parenting posts, resources, events, etc and am really enjoying what I have been able to find there.

I did add myself to Twellow - http://www.twellow.com/user/TeamMom and We Follow Directory - http://wefollow.com (I am #158 under Parenting). These have been a blessing, in that I can be found thru the topics I listed myself under... but, honestly, find the twellow more useful because it shows you who is actually following you thru them. They also give you 10 categories to list your @name under which is amazing!

Here is another good tool I signed myself to Local Tweeps http://localtweeps.com (uses zip code to find/connect you with other people). And as I usually do, I have begun a thread over on ryze just for all the Twitter Info I find - http://www.ryze.com/posttopic.php?topicid=1036189&confid=1022

Sales, well I am in transition right now with building 2 sites (Business/HomeParty,Decor) and will be working under my sister again as an ISBO for AmeriplanUSA (discount health program) so I really haven't been focusing time on this area. However, I am hoping that with all the hard work, the connecting and information I can provide, that I will be able to draw possible clients/customers in.
